Family History

The house itself is a home that has been in our family for over 100 years and in the lounge you will see a selection of it’s previous owners. It has been recently refurbished to a high standard whilst still maintaining many of its best features. You will find a very well stocked kitchen with a gas range cooker, a dining room and separate living room which share a two way wood burning stove for cosy nights in and a utility room with washing machine and tumble drier. Leading out from the dining room are patio doors to a decked area with seating to enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean and the glen.

There is one king sized bedroom downstairs as well as a bathroom with shower. Upstairs there is a king sized bedroom and another bedroom with two singles beds and a bathroom with bath and shower facilities. There is a walled garden around the front of the house and at the rear there is a small, natural waterfall. Sheep roam freely around the property as they have done for generations.

Stunning!
Beautiful house in a stunning location. Tastefully decorated, with comfy beds, big kitchen diner and comfortable living room with wood burner. A good location to get to areas to go sight seeing.
We took in the Fairy Pools, Kilt Rock, Coral Beech, Fairy Glen and the Two Churches walk. You can get 4 seasons in one day but it adds to the beauty of the Island. The wandering sheep and the highland cows just make your day. Thank you for sharing your home away from home!

A really lovely home - spotlessly clean, superbly equipped, tastefully decorated and with lots of thoughtful little extras. Views over the sea to the Outer Hebrides from the front window, a waterfall in the back garden and sheep visible from the kitchen window.
The village shop in Glendale is well stocked and I loved being able to run (or walk) to Neist point and many other amazing local viewpoints (try Milovaig, or the road south from Borrodale). Skye itself is stunningly beautiful and hardly needs a review on here - even in a windy week in December, there were plenty of tourists at the Storr, Quiraing, Glen Brittle, Claigan Beach, Fairy Glen etc. The drive from Loch Lomond to Skye is a real highlight too.

We traveled to Scotland in August and were at Lagan Glas for 4-5 days. It was fabulous! Situated between several points of interest. Ample room for the 6 of us. The cottage was everything what I pictured it would be when we arrived and when we nestled in, we were thoroughly impressed with the updated interior. It was plenty comfortable; the kitchen was superbly equipped and we were able to cook salmon and trout we caught. We watched the sunset from the deck while listening to the sheep and nearby waterfall. A little slice of heaven. I as even able to accomplish some work early in the morning and send files via the WIFI/internet.

This is a stunning property in an equally stunning location. It's been refurbished to a very high standard hence the five stars awarded by the Scottish Tourist Board. Everything is of the finest quality from the hand made soap provided in the bathrooms to the wonderful bedroom linen and the superb quality of the bathroom fittings...we have settled in so nicely we even checked to see if the following week was still available...sadly it wasn't.

Just had a week in this most stunning home in a wonderful location. This place is a blue print for how a holiday home should be done. There is everything and more you require in this home with some wonderful thoughtful touches. Glendale is a stunning area on Skye in the northern part it is a great location and the house has fantastic views. The owner Karen is an excellent communicator and most helpful.

This house is as good as the pictures, but was homely as well. Location in a small village with useful shop and cafe, There is also a community market on Tuesday's at the village hall for locally made gifts. We found it a good base for visiting some of the key sights in Skye. However, it takes longer than you think to get to places because of the long and windy roads. Even our fussy teenagers thought this place was lovely.
